Completed the game in under 2 hours...
At $6.99 for the app, that’s a bit steep. And that’s with me only skipping two mini-puzzles (they were redundant which equals boring). The map was terrible. Don’t get me wrong. I was grateful for a map but when you give me an exclamation point in front of a villiage with multiple locations inside, well, that’s not terribly helpful.
The bonus game was harder than the main game, fyi. Shorter but more difficult. I’d wait until the game hits $3.99 or under. Then you might not feel as robbed as I do right now.
Note to Artifex: Could you please standardize on diary location and map locations in these hidden objects games. I play a lot of your games and the side layouts are always different. One time I’m clicking on the map, next game I accidentally click on a hint. It’s a minor inconvenience, I know, but when the games come out under one vendor, you expect some things to be consistent.
Old-fashioned HOP Game
Only buy this game if you really like hidden-object puzzles. There is literally one a minute. And they are the old-fashioned kind, just a list of objects to find in a scene. Many of the scenes are repeated. No composite items, no interesting variations, and one right after the other. I prefer games with a lot more interaction: find the knob to open the cabinet to find a crank to….
Nice graphics & story but too many HOG
I would give the game a 4 rating except that there are too many hidden object games. You finish one and then another one comes up right after. The graphics are nice and there's a decent storyline. It would just be better with fewer HOG and more pieces to find and place.
